Fire leaves Tyler home heavily damaged

TYLER, TX (KLTV)- A Tyler home is left heavily damaged after it caught fire Saturday afternoon.

Tyler fire officials say the call came in around 4pm from neighbors saying the two-story home in the 800 block of Meadow Lane had caught fire.

Officials responded to the scene and were able to save half of the home. The other half was heavily damaged.

Nobody was home at the time of the fire and officials say no injuries were reported.

Tyler Fire Department responds to two-alarm structure
fire

The Tyler Fire Department responded to a two-alarm
structure fire on Saturday, July 14, 2012, at 815 Meadow Ln.  The initial call was received at 4:08
p.m.  Five engines and one Ladder
Company, along with a district chief and an investigator, responded to the
scene.

 Upon arrival, firefighters reported heavy fire and smoke
conditions in the two-story residential structure.  Several rooms sustained smoke and heat
damage. The fire was brought under control and all units had cleared the scene
by 7:15 p.m.  There were no occupants in
the residence at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.  The Red Cross was requested for assistance
with the property owners. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
