Tyler ISD: Student brings weapon to school | News
TYLER, TX (KLTV)- On Monday afternoon, Tyler ISD officials released a statement asking parents to carefully review the contents of their student's back packs.
The call to action was prompted by an elementary student who brought an unloaded gun onto the Orr Elementary campus on Monday.
The weapon was found and confiscated, and Tyler ISD officials want to assure parents that students were never in any danger and that no students were harmed.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and TISD says that "appropriate disciplinary measures will be taken concerning the student involved."
