Change in downtown Tyler traffic signal | News
The city of Tyler says drivers will have improved traffic flow as they pass through downtown Tyler beginning today.
The Traffic Engineering Department adjusted the signal light at the intersection of South College and West Elm in response to traffic delays at the site of the construction of the new downtown parking garage.
The signal light will be a red flashing three-way stop for the duration of the construction of the parking garage. They believe this will increase the efficiency of traffic flow through the area.
All drivers should prepare to stop when approaching the intersection at South College Avenue and West Elm Street.
