Dixie,  a 5-year-old female beagle mix, is available for adoption at Pets Fur People, formerly the Humane Society of East Texas. Dixie walks well on a leash and likes other dogs.  She plays well with small children and is playful, friendly and energetic.   Dixie is also house trained and loves to ride in the car.  She is current on vaccinations including rabies.  Dixie has been microchipped for identification purposes and when adopted will receive a free gift of 30 days of free pet health insurance.  For additional information call 903 597-2471 or check the Pets Fur People website – petsfurpeople.org.  Adoption hours are Tuesday through Sunday 10 am until 5 pm - closed for lunch 1-2 pm.
