Salvation Army receives American Gold Eagle bullion coin in kettle

Released by Salvation Army:

The Salvation Army has been blessed by an anonymous donation of a 1/2 troy ounce American Gold Eagle bullion coin that was dropped yesterday in the kettle at FRESH by Brookshires.

Based on the current price of gold, this coin is valued at approximately $850.00. We are continuously grateful for the wonderful support of the community in helping us Do The Most Good in Smith county.

We still have a huge and immediate need for bell ringers to staff our kettle locations. With over 3000 bell ringing hours still left to fill, we are encouraging everyone to spread the word.

Individuals, office groups, churches and families are asked to sign up to ring a bell. The money we receive from our kettles helps fund our operations at The Salvation Army year around and it is easy to register. Go to www.ringbells.org and sign up for your shift today.
