PraiseFest 2012: live bands play for Carter Blood Care | Arts & Culture

Live bands unite today for a fun day in Tyler to benefit Carter Blood Care. The summer months are the most difficult for blood banks,so this is a timely event. Event cooridnators say, however, that absolutely everyone is welcome whether or not they give blood to this free event!  They'll even have bounce house activities for the kids, as well as light refreshments.  

Grab some friends and get out there to support a great cause as well as local musicians!

"Come out and join this gathering of awesome musicians and people!!! Starting at noon praise teams and local Christian bands will be playing all their best stuff... and while you're here enjoy food and bounce houses for the kids, but we are also here for a purpose. To celebrate the life that Jesus Christ has given us on the cross by donating a little blood of your own. Every year Carter BloodCare has to struggle to keep up with the demand for blood from the hospitals. Since blood can only be obtained through donations from another person we as a community need to rise to the occasion to help those that would otherwise die without it... you never know the life you save may be someone you love."
