Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to perform resurfacing operations in various locations on FM859 in Edgewood between US 80 and FM 1395, on FM 1395 north of Edgewood, and on FM 47 south of IH 20.

A second crew is scheduled to continue edge-repair operations on FM 314 between FM 1995 south of Van and SH 64 north of Edom.

Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic in two-lane areas.

TYLER, TX (KLTV)- UPDATE - Tyler Police said Terry Knutson, of Tyler, died Friday night as a result of injuries he sustained in a crash on Wednesday.

Accident investigators said Knutson failed to yield the right of way when entering the roadway. 

No charges were filed in this case. 

The Tyler man who was struck by a tow truck Wednesday night had a "showbiz" past according to Wikipedia and several other internet sources.

Terry Knutson, who also went by the name Terry Teene claims to have helped create the character of Ronald McDonald, together with George Voorhees, although this is disputed by the McDonald corporation, according to Wikipedia.

He recently told a member of our news staff he was the original Ronald McDonald.
